Anderson Dam Tunnel Project

Valley Water has lowered the water levels at Anderson Reservoir to 3 percent capacity in accordance to the FERC directive. This allows for the start of construction on the 1,700-foot long tunnel, up to 24-feet in diameter, on the left side of the dam looking towards the reservoir. The new tunnel will allow Valley Water to increase the amount of water that can be released by five times during an emergency. Construction is scheduled to begin summer 2021 and run through December 2023.
